You will visit Rothenburg, a beautifully preserved medieval village surrounded by the original town walls and without a single modern building in sight. You’ll also experience the city of Salzburg, which will include a tour of the surrounding area with special focus on sights made famous by the movie “The Sound of Music”.
Explore the Imperial City of Innsbruck, capital of Tyrol and two-time host of the Winter Olympics. While in Switzerland, visit Lucerne, with its soaring peaks of Rigi, Stanserhorn and Pilatus. Continue to the Black Forest, where you will escape modern life and behold the natural beauty of the rustic villages nestled between the thickly wooded mountains. Also included are the towns of Heidelberg, idyllically situated on the Neckar River and dominated by the ruins of Heidelberg castle, and Rüdesheim am Rhein, a famous wine village on the banks of the Rhine River.
